Payal Karumbiah leads The Baby Atelier with a clear vision: to create children’s spaces that balance aesthetics, functionality, and longevity - designed to grow alongside the child. Her 360-degree approach to children’s interiors ensures every environment supports development, creativity, and independence.
Holding a Master’s from Parsons School of Design and a Master of Science in Quantitative Finance, Payal uniquely blends creative expertise with strategic business insight. Her career spans investment banking in New York, Mergers & Acquisitions at KPMG India, and trend forecasting at WGSN, where she collaborated with top global design houses. She also played a pivotal role in her family business, Veneta Cucine India, which has delivered over 30,000 kitchens across the country, pioneering Italian modular furniture in the Indian market.
The Baby Atelier stands out as the only brand focusing holistically on children’s spaces - from nurseries and bedrooms to schools, public play areas, hospitals, and airports. Each project is thoughtfully crafted to meet children’s evolving developmental, emotional, and sensory needs across all growth stages.
